Baby Chicks Congratulations Card
For my second card, it's back to the "Baby" theme. :) My second card is a Baby Chicks Congratulations Card. It's an A2 folded card and has two baby chicks welcoming a new hatchling coming out of an egg. The front of the card has the word "Congratulations" and the inside of the card has a customizable message. I put another egg in the back of the card. :)
Crab and Starfish Card
This past weekend was a busy and fun one for us. My husband and I went to Napa on Saturday and then hung out with our friends on Sunday. Even with all of the activities, I did get a chance to create two new cards. The first card is a Crab and Starfish card. This card is mean to be used for giving gifts for any occasion. The inspiration for this card came from a recent trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I snapped this picture of a crab in one of the tanks. The tank was really dark so I had to crank up the ISO as high as I cold just to get a picture of it. The crab looked like it was carrying the rock so that gave me the idea to draw a crab carrying something.
I love starfishes so I decided that the crab should be carrying a starfish. :) The front of the card has the words "For You" and back of the card has two more starfishes.

Giraffe Folded Card and Button Note Card
I'm back from a one-day break. Well, not really. I had a class last night and wasn't able to post my new card before I had to go to bed. So, for today, I have two cards!
My husband and I went on the photo caravan tour at the San Diego Wild Animal Park a few years ago. We got a whole bunch of pictures with the giraffes. One really interesting thing we learned about giraffes is that they can use their heads as a weapon. So when the tour guide gave us eucalyptus leaves to feed to the giraffes, she told us to stand very still otherwise they would get scared and whack you with their heads! Anyway, here is one of the many pictures we took that day. This picture was the inspiration for my Giraffe Folded Card.
The giraffe folded card is an A2 folded card that features two giraffes. The background on the front of the giraffe folded card (and the backside of the card) is an abstract print that I made. The inside of the card has a customizable message (made to order!).
My second card is a Button Note Card. The inspiration for the button note card came from a button book that I was reading a few days ago. The button note card is A2 flat note card with a line of buttons at the bottom. A thread is going through the holes of the buttons and forms the stitching around the edges of the note card.

Check back tomorrow for a baby shower card. :)
